I just had a St. Patrick's Day meal here....NOT good and for $14 they couldn't even throw in a little ice cream or something for dessert! The meal was pricey and it was their special today (Corned Beef, cabbage, whole red potato's, carrots and a roll). Next year I will try someplace else! I gave them a 2 rating cause of the 3 ladies playing Irish songs.....they were kinda cute! I am extremely disappointed in their high priced special....this was definitely not a special and not worth $13.99....

Not impressed at all. Service was just ok- took for what seemed like forever to get my meal, when I did, it was cold, it was lunch so I'm on a schedule. Coffee tasted old. My bad for stoping here at 2 in the afternoon..but if your going to be open- you need to have your "a" game, if not, close in the afternoons and reopen at 4:30 when the staff is ready. Just my humble opinion.

Just wasn't good. The service was lazy, they didn't greet us at the door just yelled across the room to have a seat wherever we wanted. I had the waffles and chicken Benedict and it was chicken strips and Eggos and the coffee was bland. Lots of local history on the walls and a nice mom and pop atmosphere if that's what you're looking for.

Our family just had breakfast at the quirky Landmark Cafe. We liked that it was an historic place associated with the Buffalo Soldiers as well as USO. However, food was not great. Orange juice was watered down. My Eggs Benedict were served with barely cooked eggs, which I was afraid to eat. My son's scrambled eggs were over cooked, so be specific how you want eggs cooked. Service was quick & friendly though.

Well this was a rough year for my parents because of health issues. As such, mom was not really in to the Thanksgiving mode so I suggested we go out. I didn't was them to have to make a major trip to Tucson, so I found out the Landmark was doing a Thanksgiving spread. We have been there several times in the past on normal business days. The food is always good but rather uninspiring. Their Thanksgiving meal this year was about $20 a head. Not a bad price for a holiday meal. Their was only the meal (i.e. no ordering off of the menu) for this special holiday meal. They brought out the plate filled with food. There was turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, green bean casserole, roll, and a choice of pie (I got the cherry pie). Like their normal fare, the food was fine but nothing to write home about. The yams were canned (I wouldn't eat them). The flavors were rather bland. The pie had a great crust and was actually pretty good. While I was not thrilled with the spread, it did serve their normal clientele. Their normal clientele tends to be older, 70+, and seems to prefer the blander taste they serve. My folks liked the food. It was nice not having to do the dishes afterword trying to stave off the turkey coma.

The new menu is great. The daily specials are very good. The servers are very courteous and friendly. I go there on weekends and sit on the patio with my dogs and the servers bring them a dog dish with water and bacon.

I'd eaten there several times in the past since my parents like it there. I never thought much of it. It's about the same quality as a Denny's or an IHOP honestly. After our visit last week though, I will never go back there again. We went for "German Night". My parents and I all ordered the Schnitzel and the German sides that came with it. After 45 minutes waiting for our food, the waitress told us that she'd accidentally given our food to the next table, who sat down a good 20 minutes after we did. She apologized and assured us that our food would be right out. 15 minutes later, we've now been waiting an hour for our food, she comes back and tells us that they're now out of several of the sides we'd ordered. No German potato salad, we'd have to settle for french fries. After a few more minutes of waiting, and not being able to get the waitress's attention for a drink refill, we got up and left. That was the first time in my life that I've ever walked out of a restaurant due to bad service. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when it's busy....but that was rediculous! And yes.....if you have a fear of clowns, stay away from this place. Clowns don't usually bother me, but that place creaps me out. They're everywhere.

Bad service, long wait for food, and food was average to marginal. Had to get my own salt, pepper and butter. The girl busing tables was the best waitress in the place but she couldn't be everywhere. Parking is hard to find. Go elsewhere if you can. Nuff said!

This establishment is decorated in a clown motif. I despise clowns therefore did not enjoy my dining experience. I will say that the LMC does support the community by allowing different organizations to have pancake breakfast fundraisers which seem to be quite popular by the mere fact that I always seem to be hit up to buy a few tickets. Who knows maybe you will like it and can accept the fact that while you eat there are many tiny beady eyes staring at you. The LMC isnt a very large restaurant but if you watch from outside it seems like and endless amount of people walk out HA HA HA (Think of those small clown cars)

The food here was excellent and the service was outstanding. We went here because Cafe Ole was closed. I am happy they were or we never would have found this place. I actually prefer this place over Cafe Ole. The only negative is the feeling of old in this place. It is historic though so that is to be expected.

Update: They took away all the clowns. It's now more like a normal restaurant.

Very reasonably priced good food, casual. We eat there all the time, esp. breakfast.

This place is so amazing.... I can't believe I lived in Sierra Vista for years and never went here. It took me moving away and coming to visit - that brought me here. I wanted to go to an off chain place. First of all, when you walk in - you immediately feel like you're home, the people treat you like family and the food - unbelievably fantastic. Best onion rings I have had. Don't forget to get a pitcher of Mimosas. So yummy. And prices from the 80's... Place was so good, we are getting up early tomorrow so we can have breakfast there before we head home. A MUST TRY if ur ever visiting or live here and haven't gone.

The haddock fish sandwich is huge! Crispy on the outside and flakey inside. The fries were home cut with the skin on. Yummy! The chicken tenders were not so good. They were kinda small and dry. That is why 4 stars.

Today is my boyfriend's birthday..so he got to choose where to go have breakfast & he chose Landmark Cafe. It was an excellent choice as the food, service and atmosphere was top notch A+ all around. I had the popeye breakfast (egg scramble with bacon, tomatoes, spinach & cheese) with country potatoes & french toast. My boyfriend and his uncle ordered the landmark combo which includes eggs( of your choice), sausage (link or patties), or bacon and of choice or pancake, french toast or waffles. The serving was the perfect size to start the day. I like how the tables had different kind of coffee mugs. The employees friendly and makes you fill like a long time customer...same goes for the other customers..they were very friendly! I would recommend Landmark Cafe if you're looking a friendly atmosphere and decent home-like cooked meal! Enjoy!!!

This review is for Landmark's catering service. Wait. What? Landmark Cafe caters? Yes! And they're great! The food they provided for my company's event was a definite step up from their standard cafe selection. Pam Anderson (who has surely never heard a Baywatch joke in her whole life) was a pleasure to work with, and for being so reasonably priced, I was wowed.

The Landmark is just ok. Their breakfast selection is decent. They have 5 or 6 omelette options and your standard egg-based meals. The staff is friendly. The ambiance is pretty dated. I do prefer Cafe Ole for breakfast in Sierra vista. Landmark is also more expensive than Cafe Ole, and I am of the opinion that breakfast joints should be fairly cheap considering what you're getting.

Every 6 months or so I forget why I don't eat here, so I come back, & the Landmark never fails to underwhelm me. The food is adequate at best, the staff is focused on regulars, & the ambiance is non-existent. At least they haven't brought back all the creepy clowns, but you can still find a couple lurking in the corners, leering at you as you dine.

My husband and I were in Sierra Vista all of last week to visit family. We stayed at America's Best Value In which is basically across the parking lot from this cafe. On a whim we decided to try this place on our first morning in town. We bacame regulars for the rest of the week. Had breakfast here every morning. As well, one day when we were not site-seeing early, we went in for lunch. Their fried chicken tenders were sooo good. Everything that we eat was delicious. The cook knows how to throw down :). And, the gals took care of us so well. They are all so friendly and really make you feel like you have been coming in there for years. Thank you Landmark Cafe. We plan to be back in town in a few months and will definately come in for a bite.

Sierra Vista doesn't have any real nice or good places to eat, but this is a top 5 for the area. Got corned beef hash for breakfast, it was good. Only place that serves alcohol with breakfast (beer/wine only) had an off putting smell but nothing too bad (finding a lot of places here do). Service was slow, laid back, and less than half the tables were full. Meal, one beer, and tip was around $16. Unless you have to have a beer with your eggs, look around or leave the town.

The place needs some real updating its creepy with all those clowns I have nor been in there in a little maybe they have taken them down not sure besides that food and service is at average. They have decent fish fry friday and german another night. They once had elvis on friday now that was fun.

Coffee, to die for. Love the feel, relaxed and has a hole in the wall atmosphere! But seriously, the coffee, you have to try it! The veggie eggs benedict with hollindase sauce, awesome. The eggs benedict, I think it is the western one, with cheese sauce, gross....the cheese was too much....even for this WI girl.....

The location and venue is good. Quaint little mom n' pop restaurant. The place had a steady stream of patrons coming in and out but wasn't too busy or loud. The server was kind and did a good job. I'm only giving this two three stars though because the food was terrible. We came during breakfast and nothing was consistent. The French toast - which is pretty hard to mess up - had both soggy and burnt pieces. The hash browns were ordered crispy and they came out burnt on the top and completely uncooked in the middle... As in cold and crunchy. Eggs Benedict is a pretty good measuring stick for a good breakfast place, and according to these Eggs Benedict this place should get zero stars. One egg was practically hard boiled and the other was raw. They didn't even take the time to toast the English muffins, so it was just a runny soggy mess. We also ordered the meat lovers omelette, which was cold and bland. The "guacamole" of obviously a premix avocado disaster. Either this place needs to get new chefs of not cut corners in the purchasing. We won't be returning.

Great for breakfast. Definitely a place of regulars. Really enjoyed the breakfast specials and their breakfast sandwhich puts any fast food to shame.

Good find for breakfast. Went through the reviews and they help. Frendly service and you can tell the place has been in buisness for a very long time. I will go again for breakfast for sure!

I enjoyed my visit for breakfast. I thought the service was good. However the food is mediocre. I really enjoyed the home like interior and the coffee was great. It is definitely a small town place that caters very much to its regulars. Almost Everyone seems to know the staff and feel very comfortable here. This was my first visit.

Breakfast, the most important meal of the day, and also one of the easiest to cook. I don't find myself eating out for breakfast very much, unless I am on the road. So if you are on the road in Sierra Vista, the place to go for breakfast is the Landmark Cafe. Avoid the Denny's like the plague (horrible service) and stick to this hometown alternative. Service: 4/5 In what might be starting to sound like a broken record, I will call the service at Landmark, "Solid but not spectacular." It is somewhat above average. The wait staff I have dealt with there are friendly. Water and coffee is refilled promptly. And food arrives in a timely manner. You could certainly do a lot worse (*cough Denny's cough*) Food: 4/5 I've ordered a lot of different things here over the years... some good, some great, some simply average. I really love their home fries. The chorizo is pretty good, although I think it could use a little more heat. Eggs are always cooked properly to order. The pancakes are good. Overall you won't really be disappointed with anything you order here, in my experience. I've yet to find something that was truly bad or that I wouldn't order again. Overall Impressions: 4/5 One of the big "complaints" about this place used to be the decor. The interior was absolutely full of clowns. I actually thought it was unique and charming. But apparently it was off-putting to a lot of folks. Well I can report that the clowns are long gone and replaced with a more generic "historical" theme. There are pictures and artwork dating back to the region's earlier days. While I suppose this does go well with being the Landmark Cafe, I think it is awfully plain. But oh well, to each their own. This is still the best breakfast spot in Sierra Vista.

Service is too slow for lunch, but the food was always good. This place is GREAT for a weekend breakfast/brunch.

Ive only had breakfast here and it wasn't bad This place is cute. Reasonable prices and simple ordinary food.

  • Tonya S.

Surprise! You've found one of the few dog-friendly places in town! Also one of the only acceptable places for brunch without driving more than 30 min. Unfortunately, they do not serve mimosas... yet. They are working on getting the paperwork through. The patio is lovely and surprisingly secluded for being on Fry Blvd. The food is above average, though it tastes like gourmet if you've been in town too long. Wait staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu, but they aren't in a rush. But honestly, are you in a big hurry on a late Sunday morning? Try Landmark, if only to support local businesses!

I'm teetering on a two star...the only reason is because the inside of the restaurant is pretty gross-I could smell the horribly stained carpet! Thank goodness we opted to eat outside on a gorgeous day. I had a burger with chilies on it that was alright, with home made fries. Service was great, but pleeeeease re-floor the place! It's completely disgusting. (If you're already here, I'll bet you're bummed you looked at the floor.) -oh, and not gawking, open-mouthed at the customers who don't look like you is helpful too.

    (3)
  • Paul P.

Serves a very nice breakfast, but desperately needs redecorating. Don't understand the "spendy" rating. Very economical in my opinion. Please clean the carpets. A friendly local joint but needs a good cleaning.

We like coming here for breakfast. The pancakes are always great! I miss the breakfast sombrero they used to have on the menu. I love the way they help out with fundraisers by having pancake breakfasts.

Well, the clowns are ALL GONE so the coulrophobics can relax. The atmosphere at The Landmark Cafe now feels more like a homey and comfy diner. You often just seat yourself when you walk in and you never have to wait for service. The menu has a lot of variety. It's a great place for breakfast and lunch. The food is just ok but it arrives quickly and you get plenty of it. Every time I've eaten at LMC it's always full of people and there's a constant stream of people going in and out. There's a nice patio outside. Parking can be a pain. The restaurant is located among many business offices and parking is really limited esp during the early breakfast hours and the lunch rush.

We went in for breakfast today a bit skeptical because we had read the reviews. The service was right on and the orders were correct and the food was very good. Reminded us of the mom and pop diners in the midwest we we loved so much. Over all we were very happy with the place.
